The avid viewers and readers of Neil Gaiman’s Novel Adaptation of American Gods know that the second season of American Gods was not up to the mark. The second season did kill a significant character, Mad Sweeney, the loveable Leprechaun who did run out of luck. On the other hand, the second season had several loopholes.
The third season is going to be different as the third season of American Gods chose a brand-new Showrunner, Chic Eglee. Moreover, Chic Eglee has been an integral producer of many significant TV-Series such as Hemlock Grove, The Walking Dead, and The Shield. Neil Gaiman wrote stories like Stardust, Good Omens, and American Gods. He also serves as the executive producer of the series.
The third season will be better than the second, period
In a recent statement, Gaiman said that he is delighted that Stars’ American Gods gets a renewal for a third season run. Moreover, Gaiman is positive and happy about the fact that he would be working alongside Chic Eglee.
Neil Gaiman, on the other hand, is also saying that as Chic Eglee is onboard, the fourth season would soon garner the greenlit as well. Gaiman and his co-writer have to get into the writing room and start working on series’ scripts.
American Gods Season 3 Cast and release date
The first and the second season of American Gods came into being in 2017 and 2019, respectively. The second season had a delay for over a year. However, the experts are suggesting that the new showrunner will broadcast the third season as soon as the following year.
Ricky Whittle, Crispin Glover, Emily Browning, Ian McShane along with the regular star cast, will be back for the third season. The plot for the third season is something that cannot be predicted. According to Whittle, who plays the role of the lead character Shadow Moon said that the series is turning into a different thing. Moreover, this also points out that the series is quite a book independent, which would provide a unique premise to the series.
