Sonkar comes from a family which is not economically or financially strong. Moreover, the 23 years old winner of Dance Deewane 2 used to work as a delivery boy, prior to becoming the country’s next-gen dancing sensation. The names of the parents of Sonkar’s family is currently unknown. However, Sonkar’s brother, Sid is also a remarkable dancer.
Sonkar comes from a Hindu family and he has finished studying till B. Com. When Sonkar was asked during his journey with the show as to what is his favorite hobby rather than dancing, his reply was listening to songs. Sonkar’s family is from a beautiful city in the country, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. During the running of the second season, the makers surprised the talented dance by bringing his mother to the stage. His mother is suffering from arthritis and she is confined to a wheelchair.
