Telangana LockDown Till 31st Of March 2020 : KCR

It has been announced to lockdown Telangana till the 31st of March.

Following the footsteps of some stated like Rajasthan, Punjab, Telangana has also been announced to lockdown till 31st of March to fight against coronavirus.

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao chaired a high-level meeting on Sunday at Pragathi Bhavan KCR in which the decision in this regard was taken. It was decided that how important this shut down is for the state and the country and the decision was made.

The decision was taken under the Epidemic Diseases Act of 1897. He announced that all international flights will be suspended to minimize the threat of the virus. He also announced that no public vehicle will be allowed to run in the state and that all the interstate borders will be closed. Only the vehicles carrying essential materials like vegetables, milk, groceries etc will be allowed.

The official announcement about this will be made by the chairman this evening.
The decision about the lockdown of Telangana came when the country was observing a 24 hours shutdown as the Prime Minister’s request. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India announced today as the “Janta Curfew” as no one was left to allow the house until and unless it’s something important.

Chandrashekhar Rao extended it by 10 hours.
19 cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) has been reported in Telangana, so far. The first case of coronavirus came to notice on Saturday, which made people aware. The first case that was reported was of a son of a man who came back from Dubai. He was tested positive on the 19 of March.
