The Indian Malayalam-language action film “Shylock” directed by Ajai Vasudev and action thriller film “Big Brother” written, directed and co-produced by Siddique, hit the big screens of the country on 23rd January 2020 and 16th January 2020 respectively.
While Shylock features Mammootty in the role of a money lender and Meena in the female lead along with Rajkiran, Big Brother features Mohanlal, Arbaaz Khan, Anoop Menon, Sarjano Khalid, Honey Rose, Siddique, Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Irshad, Tini Tom, Mirnaa Menon, and Gaadha.
Shylock Day 12 Vs Big Brother Day 19
The film Shylock has been able to perform average at the box office in its first 11 days of release and has been able to make a net collection of approx Rs 30 crores from all over the country. According to the response the movie is getting, it is expected that the film may earn Rs 2 crores on its 12th day. Thus, the estimated total net box office collection of the film Shylock comes out to be Rs 32 crores.
On the other hand, the film Big Brother has given an above-average performance at the box office in its first 18 days of release and has been able to make a net collection of approx Rs 14 crores. According to the response the movie is getting, it is expected that the movie may earn Rs 0.05 crores on its 19th day. Thus, the estimated total net box office collection of the film Big Brother comes out to be Rs 14.05 crores.
Thus, from the above reports, it can be clearly seen that both films are performing average on the big screen. Although Shylock was released one week after Big Brother, it is giving a much better performance than the latter.
