Fan-favourite Sunil Grover announced this past month on his Instagram that he would be making his much-awaited come back later on in the year with a comedy series named Gangs Of Filmistan, being produced and directed by Preeti Simoes and Neeti Simoes, former producers of Comedy Nights with Kapil. The duo has said to be working on the show for most of 2020 and fans are excited to see what they bring to the table.
Sunil Grover went on record to mention the challenges the pandemic was posing mentally on our populace and how he aims to lighten up the mood with comedy.
“It is difficult, it is a challenge to make people laugh. I immediately accepted the offer as I felt this is the right show to do in these times. Spreading laughter is something I wanted to do it from my heart” Grover said in an interview.

Gangs of Filmistan Cast
Gangs of Filmistan is set to star Sunil Grover in the role of a Don.
“We will have a Bollywood specific comedy to be showcased by various artistes. I will be sitting as a don, appreciating, and enjoying the performance.” Grover said when asked about his part and on the premise of the show.
Shilpa Shinde, Sanket Bhosale, Upasana Singh, Sugandha Mishra, Paritosh Tripathi, Jatinder Suri, and Siddharth Sagar will be joining the actor as well to make a star-studded comedy cast.
Gangs of Filmistan Release Date
Earlier this week, Sunil Grover revealed the release date of Gangs of Filmistan to be August 31st. The show will be streamed on Star Bharat and Disney Hotstar Plus and promises 60 minutes of unfiltered comedy weekly.
Sunil Grover also announced in a noble cause, that all the proceedings he earns from the show will be donated to charity.
