The Vijay Deverakonda starrer is going to hit big screens on Friday. Written and directed by Bharat Kamma, Dear Comrade is all hyped up. The last movie of Vijay Deverakonda, Taxiwaala, was released on 17 November 2018. So fans and admirers of Vijay are eagerly waiting for Dear Comrade.
So let’s talk numbers now. The film’s teaser was released on March 16th of 2019 and by the time I’m writing this article, the teaser on YouTube has over 10.6 million views with over 204k likes.
Similarly, the film’s trailer was released on July 10th and it got over 12.3 million views with 363k likes. So the numbers are huge. This clearly says about the reach the film has received. It’s huge and going to be a big film for the star cast and makers.
Not only the Telugu teaser and trailer, but trailers from other languages also have a massive number of views. And the reason behind this is, the Tamil trailer was released by Tamil actor Surya. And Malayalam trailer was released by Dulquer Salmaan.
These are not the only reasons for the hype. There is also a ‘Comrade Anthem’ factor. The Tamil version of Comrade anthem was sung by Vijay Sethupathi and the Malayalam anthem was sung by Dulquer Salmaan. So it is fair to expect the fans of these stars to check out the film.
And finally, Dear Comrade Music Festival, the star cast of the film and the music team has toured around in four cities: Bengaluru, Kochi, Chennai, and Hyderabad. The festival in Bengaluru was visited by Yash.
So the promotions are absolutely on point. The songs from the film are absolute chartbusters, the advance bookings are on fire. So how much will the film collect on its first day in all 4 states and the rest of the world? Here is our prediction.
Considering all the factors mentioned in the post, and the advance bookings and the number of screens the film is going to be released in, I think the film will gross 35 – 40 cr on its first day worldwide.
