The Indian Tamil-language action thriller film ‘Darbar’ written and directed by A. R. Murugadoss, and produced by Allirajah Subaskaran under the banner of Lyca Productions, hit the big screens of the country on the 9th of January 2020.
The film stars Rajinikanth, Nayanthara, Thomas, and Sunil Shetty in the lead roles. The film has given an exceptional performance at the box office in its first seven days of release and has been able to make a net collection of Rs 116.80 crores.
According to the response the movie is getting, it is expected that the film may earn Rs 10.40 crores on its 8th day, for all languages.

On the 8th day of the film, the theaters have been occupied by 49.33% in the morning shows while in the afternoon shows, the occupancy is of 66.24%.
The occupancy of the evening shows and the night shows was observed as 72.57% and 64.65% respectively.
The overall occupancy of theatres for the film Darbar on its 8th day of release and on its second Thursday, that is, on the 16th of January 2020, is 63.20%.
