The 2019 Indian Hindi-language action comedy film Dabangg 3 directed by Prabhu Deva has done a satisfactory job at the box office on day5. The film which features Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and Saiee Manjrekar in lead roles is a prequel to the other two parts of the franchise. It depicts the back story of the Robinhood aka Chulbul Pandey.
As per records, This film has collected Rs 22-23 crores on the first day and almost around the same amount on the second day too. Later, on Sunday, the film saw good growth of 30% on Sunday with collections set to be around 29 crore net.
Hence, a total of around 82 crores were collected during the weekend. Later, on day 4 the film got around 12 crores. It is clearly understood that the collections for this film are getting highly affected due to the CAA protest. The major areas Delhi and UP circuit are highly affected.
The report says that the film might manage to sustain on Tuesday. But the business of Rs.95 crore net weekend with these external problems is not bad at all. It is the fourth-best film of the year after ‘War’, ‘Bharat’ and ‘Saaho’ (Hindi) and the second-best non-holiday weekend after ‘Saaho’ (Hindi). Also, The weekend numbers are found to be better than films like ‘Kabir Singh’, ‘Mission Mangal’, ‘Total Dhamaal’, ‘Kesari’, ‘Super 30’ and ‘Housefull 4’ even though it has lost around 15% of its weekend earnings.
The film has collected around Rs.10 crore on day5. The film can also get the advantage of the upcoming holiday ‘Christmas’ and the overall collections can become normal.
The first part of this film (Dabangg 1) which was released in 2010 collected 219 crores at the box-office while the second part(Dabangg 2) collected around 266 crores in the year 2012.
Now can the film get more collections than the previous parts? Can the Christmas factor and new-year factor help to get out of debt? We have to wait and watch!
