In May, preliminary exam admission cards for Civil Services will be issued. The test will take place on 31 May. According to the UPSC examination notice, three weeks before the examination date the admission cards will be issued. “Three weeks before the test begins, the qualifying candidates are given an e-Admit Card,” the UPSC announced in the notification.
UPSC intimates the test center and reviews time with the admission card. If you do not get you to admit card on time, please contact the UPSC in person or by phone at your facilitation counter. Through the admit card, UPSC would intimate candidates their exam center and exam time.
The notification reads: “In the event that the candidate does not receive a Communication at least 3 weeks prior to examination from the Commission Office concerning not receiving the e-Admit Card, he/she shall be solely responsible for non-receipt of the e-Admit Card,” the notice says.
“No candidate will ordinarily be allowed to take the examination unless he/she holds an e-Admit Card for the examination. On downloading of e-Admit Card, check it carefully and bring discrepancies/errors, if any, to the notice of UPSC immediately,” it also reads.
Candidates should note that the name in the admits card in some cases, maybe abbreviated due to technical reasons, said UPSC.
This admit card will be solely for the Civil Services preliminary exam; the UPSC will release fresh admit cards for the main exam.
