The movie has collected 1 Cr on its day 8 which is its 2nd Friday. The Net collection in the Indian market is around 28 Cr and the Gross collection of the film is around 32.05 Cr. The movie has collected 43 Cr worldwide on its day 8 and overseas is around 9.5 Cr. The movie has chances of getting a good income due to the weekend is around.
As expected the movie has higher occupancy for evening and night shows compared to morning and afternoon shows. The morning shows are 9.11% occupied whereas afternoon shows are occupied with 15.59%.
The movie was well-received in areas like Chennai, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kolkata with higher occupancy. And it has a bad response in regions like Surat, Jaipur, Bhopal, and Chandigarh with lower occupancy.
The film is based on the true events of Laxmi Agarwal who was the victim of the acid attack, took place in 2005. Deepika Padukone has taken a daring step to enact the role of Laxmi Agarwal to present the pain through which she has undergone.
Though the overall occupancy of the movie is less across the country, the film will be screened till other films are released.
